Female Breast Size and Shape

Very small breasts are more common than you think.

Breasts like these are more of a breast anomaly than a shape. They are Often called “tubular breasts” or “constricte breasts”. The base of the breast usually isn’t wide enough and the nipple and areola complex may be overly prominent because breast tissue has been herniated, or squeezed into the tip.

Some women have prominent nipple/areola complexes due to herniation of the tissue, lobules and fat. Sometimes, these are called “snoopy” breasts.

Pectus carinatum with ptosis is not really a breast shape, per se, but is a deformity of the chest that is sometimes called pigeon breast. The ribs and sometimes the breastbone (sternum) protrude forward.
